ARTIST STATEMENT
My art is full of encounters, delightfully incongruent to the naked eye, stimulating for some, infuriating for others perhaps. However, this is what real art must do, it must drive us to question, to find new meaning, to think new thoughts. It can be a detailed expressionist drawing of a mythological figure or a sonorous slap of Red on a Saint’s face. It can be sacred, and it can be profane, but it must lead to transcendence.
INFLUENCES
Schnabel, Hirst, Rauschenberg, Valicenti, Koons, Picasso
