Sevinc Ibrahimova was born on 6 February 1977 in Nakhchyvan, Azerbaijan.

Sevinc has admired fine art since she was a child, when she encountered the world of painting during occasional family visits to the local art galleries.

At teen age, Sevinc moved with her family to Azerbaijan's capital Baku, where she studied law later on and subsequently built a successful career in the Azerbaijani public service. Nevertheless, driven by untapped passion for fine art, Sevinc decides to pursue her dream of becoming an artist; she starts taking private lessons from professional painters and intensively working on development of the artistic skills.

In February 2011, Sevinc debuted with her first exposition, which unveiled her talent to the public eye. Sevinc's second public exposure took place in February 2012, and marked another success. The same year, she participated at the Exhibition of Young Azerbaijani Artists, where her works received high public and critical acclaim. This event was highlighted by popular magazines and TV channels; an interview with Sevinc Ibrahimova was broadcasted by television.

In 2012, Sevinc moved to Brazil, where created number of works on diverse motives being inspired by South American scenery and the way of living. In late 2013, she returned to Azerbaijan and after a while moved to Brussels, Belgium.

In January 2018, Sevinc participated at the International Contemporary Art Fair in Paris – art3f Paris, where she exhibited 20 of her artworks.

Nowadays, Sevinc lives in Brussels, periodically traveling to Baku and working on her paintings in either city under the artist pseudonym Seva Novruz.
