Born in Rosario, Argentina, I studied chemistry and biochemistry and devoted many years of my life to these professions. However, my artistic spirit grew over this time and manifested itself after leaving the country and settling in the Philippines.
I was not surprised that this happened because I grew up in an environment in which fine arts had an important place. My maternal grandmother was devoted to painting for many years and my parents, although they were not artists themselves, encouraged me visiting museums and art galleries and initiated a significant collection of works by well-known Argentine painters.
As I developed my painting and drawing skills and technique I received different cultural influences since I attended art studios in the Philippines, Ecuador and India. After arriving in the United States I took various courses in "Torpedo Factory" in Virginia and painting workshops in Maryland.
At times, I am motivated to play with nature images or the human figure approaching them from different angles and varying distances, or distorted images to convey a different view of things, provoke or surprise the viewer. In other cases, the desire to catch the expression of a face, the emotions that manifest themselves in the eyes, mouth, or the attitude of the person becomes my driver.
Depending on the subject and the situation, I choose different media and techniques to express myself. Among them olio on canvas, acrylic on canvas, ink and charcoal on paper are my favorites.
