Creating photographic artwork since 1987, this artist has seen the times change within her field of specialty. "What once took several hours, even days in the darkroom, can now be done by almost anyone with a computer these days". ~Mar~ has managed to remain involved in the competitive field of commercial arts during the image oriented technological revolution and utilizes computers and digital photography with the benefit of original flare, saving time, money and making colour experimentations more feasible as well.
Today, her style is carried by aesthetics both traditional and digital. She continues to delve into surrealistic, glamorous, exaggerated or subtlety dark imagery. Most of her work, including published pieces are personal amusements/experimentations if not solely catharsis. Her work for hire consists of artistic portraiture, ranging from conservative to obscure with clients including musicians, designers and other artistic minds.
