Louis Padro

I am Louis Angel Padro and I reside in Elgin, Illinois. I have been involved in art all my life. I work in all mediums and I sculpt as well.
Besides painting my greatest passion is teaching art and helping others find their own talent and directing them on the proper path to their own artistic discovery.
I don't think there has never been a moment when art has not touched me, if not,it has had an impact on my own life. Art for me is not just a passtime, but a way of life. I never intend to reach fame or financial freedom.
I have always used my talent to instill others with the knowledge that each one of us has some measure of artistic ability and that we all grow and develop differently, but if in that period we fail to see what our gift tells us then we fail to understand why our gifts are given to us.
I believe I have been blessed with the gift of Art. To me it is something I have shared and never unselfishly have I attempted to gain wealth. I have given away much of my paintings and have donated many of my artwork to auctions beniffitng health issues.
I have developed art programs for school children where they have put together their own art show and have received art certificates and received art awards as well.
I still have so much more to do. My life i just filled with happiness because without my Art I would live a pointless life. Art is not just the act of sitting down and creating, but it is a religion that comes from within each of us. It dares us to open up to the world and invite the observer to see us internally by our own creation.
