Sorin-Niculae Lazar voit le jour le 27 novembre 1954 à Suceava, en Roumanie. Il obtient son diplôme de la Faculté de Géologie-Géophysique de l'Université de Bucarest. Dans le domaine artistique, il s'affirme en tant qu'autodidacte. Il explore des domaines variés tels que la photographie, l'art numérique, la peinture et la sculpture. Son entrée dans le monde artistique se concrétise avec sa première exposition personnelle d'art numérique en 2015 à Mangalia.
En 2016, il participe en tant qu'invité à trois expositions collectives de peinture organisées par l'association Artistes sans frontières, en Roumanie (Mangalia) et en Bulgarie (Balcik et Dobrich). À partir de 2016, il prend part à sept expositions collectives à Constanța (Dobrogean Artists). Sa philosophie artistique repose sur le concept de jongler entre le réel et l'imaginaire.
Parmi ses influences notables, on retrouve Salvador Dali et Carol Nelson. Sorin-Niculae Lazar, à travers sa démarche artistique riche et plurielle, incarne la fusion entre la réalité et l'imagination, une exploration qui transcende les frontières de l'art et éveille l'émotion par des expressions visuelles captivantes.
