I am a painter of American and Spanish origins, who lives and works mainly in Madrid and in Vejle (Denmark) now. I studied art conservation and after some years decided I wanted to do my own art. I did some courses with famous Spanish painters, like Antonio López, but I don't think that's been essential in my career. Working has. And studying other painters works has too.

I’ve exhibited in Madrid, Barcelona, and other places, but what importance does it have when you can pay for exhibitions?

I've reached a point in which I think that my only  curriculum is my work.  I mainly work portraits, anonymous people in lost moments in the subway of Madrid, and solitary seascapes in which I have felt a deep connection with nature.

I observe and then I make my own interpretation, I don’t judge, I don’t invent , I observe the life that surrounds me, the one I am more interested in, the people, their faces, their gestures, their tiredness after hours of work, their expressions, the attitude when they do not feel observed, and the attitude of the one who senses he’s being analyzed. I feel we all are connected in one way or another, I try to reach for the essence of the human I have in front of me, transcend, go a little bit further, beyond the skin. In each portrait I end up exhausted, and I swear I will never paint again.

But I continue.. then I have to look for some peace and introspection and I go back to painting the sea where, alone, and deeply connected with it I feel complete.
