I lives and works in a small village in Catalonia in Northern Spain. The traditional Ceramica Negra (black ceramics) has been made in this region since the 14th Century. The black pottery is achieved by backing the clay in a smoke-filled oven, the result is that the excess carbon turns the clay completely black. In its raw, unglazed state, the earthenware takes on a mat and charred finish.

◄► This product is handmade. The imperfections in the surface are very much part of the character and charm of this object. The size or the colour might slightly change from a product to another.
◄► Handmade Tableware. Using the millenary technique of my town. Blackening the earthenware by direct contact with the flames. Is baked with a wood-fired oven.
◄► Handmade original pieces with ceramic glazes.
