This landscape was painted in the open air in Italy, in a small town on the Adriatic Sea called Lido di Spina. We chose a picturesque place on the map of Italy and came there to paint in the open air. We lived in the street named after Leonardo da Vinci, surrounded by the streets of Giotto, Titian, Tintoretto, Caravaggio, and Piero Della Francesca. Lido di Spina is the southernmost resort of the province of Comacchio, a place created for a leisurely pacifying vacation surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Here, cozy streets have quite a wealth of green pines. Time passes slowly in their shades, so you can rest your body and your hearts. I was especially fascinated by huge Italian pines with their picturesque furry crowns looking like giant umbrellas. For me, pines are connected with my memories of the warm Italian sun, the clean salty sea, and the picturesque Italian nature.

Irene Makarova est une artiste à temps plein de Moscou, en Russie. Depuis 2005, elle a étudié la peinture dans l'atelier de l'artiste russe Konstantin Kaufman, puis elle est diplômée de l'Institut d'architecture de Moscou en 2008. Elle a rejoint l'International Art Foundation en 2008.
Elle préfère travailler à l'huile et utilise souvent des couleurs ouvertes dans ses œuvres.
Irene crée principalement de l'art figuratif expressif. La forme et les relations entre les différentes formes et figures constituent un vaste champ d'interprétation à travers différents contextes historiques et mythologiques. Les peintures d'Irène naissent dans son monde intérieur par l'observation et l'expérience de la vie environnante.
L'art d'Irène a été influencé par le langage pictural de l'avant-garde russe du début du XXe siècle et le travail des expressionnistes allemands, ainsi que par Bosch, Giotto, El Greco et Modigliani.
Irene a participé à plus de 60 expositions en Russie et en Europe. Ses œuvres font partie de collections privées et publiques en France, en Angleterre, en Écosse, en Russie, en Italie, en Espagne, en Finlande, aux États-Unis et en République Tchèque.
