Ebru E. Duvenci

1980 She was born in Tarsus / Mersin/TURKEY.
1998-2002, She studied in Mersin University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department,
Assistant Professor. Cebrail Otgun Studio.
2002-2005, She completed Master degree from the Mersin University, School of Social
Sciences, Picture of the Department with thesis by ‘Dramatic Effects in New Expressionist
Painting and Practices’
2008 since a member of the International Association of Plastic Artists



The artist had a great interest in art since childhood, because her mother H. Cagla Erturk was a painter too. She began to make drawings influenced by her mother's drawings and paintings in 80s and early 90s, had always dreamed of being an artist and yet until she reached high school in 1995 summer, began to take drawing lessons for the ability of university exams.
Following, 1998 was the first step in realizing their dreams, began studies in Mersin University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. Successfully completed her education in 2002.
Since Master's degree in 2002-2003, the main theme of paintings of modern life in the rush of speed and movement.
Particularly, on her paintings are focusing always running to catch up on the street somewhere, people running, the complexity of life, the speed ; and she depicts her impressions of these snapshots, with her own style figures in motion and the atmosphere .
Her paintings are affected; who stood in daily life, attracted the attention of the snapshots, overlooked moments, movies, music, sometimes photographs taken by herself, but more observations and imaginations.
According to the artist; Art is a lifestyle, an inner journey, a spiritual requirement, self-expression, thinking, a way of understanding herself or life, a self-interrogation path, a way of interrogation of life…
The artist has three solo exhibitions, participated in several group shows since their university years,
her works are in many collections.

2012 continues to live and work in her studio in Mersin/Turkey with her artist mother H. Cagla Erturk.
