CARRAUX

Born 1973 in Luxembourg.Art is his life and his source of energy. It has always been part of his life and has become his greatest passion. He has worked for a long time as a graphic designer, with the emphasis on publishing.

The sources of his artistic creativity are Art Nouveau, Surrealism, Impressionism and Expressionism as well as the classical depictions of Vanitas. Furthermore, he often and gladly makes use of mythology from the Scandinavian region as well as the Middle East / Near East and Central Asia.

His main interests are the connection between man and nature, life and death - transience. Therefore most of his paintings are based on the forms of the skull. In addition, he deals with the themes of religion, occultism, symbolism and his understanding of "God" - nature.

All these themes lend a certain magic to the atmosphere in his works. In this way, the viewer becomes much more intensely and deeply involved in the "event" and an individual bond can develop.
