Ancient myths and legends were and are one of my prime sources of inspiration. With this artwork, I open a new series of colorful portraits - ancient goddesses, as I see them, created in a mixture of fauvism and colorful emotional styles. I find deciding the color palette each goddess wraps itself is the most interesting and thrilling thing to find out.

She is Nox, a goddess of Night. The line between sleep and death is so fragile, the difference only waking with the dawn. When the sun sinks below the horizon comes darkness where she reigns.

The original, hand-made palette knife painting on a gallery wrapped canvas. High quality natural pigment oil paints are used. Covered with dammar varnish to preserve color and protect from dust and moisture. Shipped in a tube.

The artwork is signed on the front and a signed certificate of authenticity is provided.
