The Kanagawa Biennial World Children’s Art Exhibition has been held every two years since 1981. It is intended to use the power of painting or creative imagination to focus the dreams and creativity of young people who are the leaders of tomorrow. It is also aimed at understanding the different cultures and lifestyles in different communities, countries, regions, and continents through paintings and drawings from children. During the 18th edition held 2015, we received children art works from 95 countries and 2 regions: after which a group of judges in the field of art and art education (the Director of the Museum of Modern Art Kamakura & Hayama, professional artist, art critic….) selected outstanding works for prizes. These were 3 Grand Prizewinners, 58 Special Prizewinners and 458 Selected Prizewinners.
