Inês Paixão, I was born in 1993 in Coimbra, I live in Setúbal.
Since I was a child, I had always an enormous passion for drawing and handiwork, I drew everything around me, although there was no one in the family who had been in the Artistic area, except my maternal grandmother who painted beautiful pictures that I tried imitate, but it was always a hobby for her.
My way passed through the Visual Arts in Secondary. After completing this phase, I continued to work in the artistic area, joining the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon (FBAUL) in 2011, in the Sculpture course. Still during the Degree I did ERASMUS in Poland during 9 months. I finished my degree in 2014.
It was here that the turnaround occurred, I loved the Drawing, but I felt in love with the modeling and the three-dimensional.
I love the contact with raw material , I love working the organic, the abstract, what grows, involves and transforms by itself, nature. This is what I try to convey in my pieces, having as materials of choice Wood and Ceramics, never forgetting Drawing.
Now i'm working in ADAO (Associação Desenvolvimento de Artes e Oficios), in Barreiro, it's an association of art and culture.
