Frederic Kohli is a self-taught acrylic artist who specializes in creating paintings of North American lighthouses and their beautiful settings in relalistic and accurate detail. He has developed an extensive portfolio during the past 10 years which ranges from small (3"x6") miniatures to various sized canvases and large murals. He has painted over half of the almost 700 lighthouses listed in the US Coast Guard records. They include lighthouses oon the Atlantic coast from Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, Canada in the north to Key West and the Dry Tortugas in the Florida Keys; glulf Coast lighthouses from Florida to Texas; Pacific Coast lighthouses from San Diego California to Puget Sound in Washington state, and the Great lakes from the St Lawrence River and Lakes Ontario, Erie, Huron, Mighigan and Superior.
Frederic is a retired businessman/engineer and lives in Florida with his wife Elizabeth who is also an accomplished artist.
