Peindre est un besoin. C’est un acte libératoire et un plaisir qui n’a rien à voir avec la qualité d’une peinture. Je peux expliquer une toile, mais à posteriori. Car quand je peinds, je ne sais pas où je vais. Je ne peinds pas avec une intention. C’est le moi ou l’inconscient qui conduit le geste. La création artistique est, d’une manière générale, le rééquilibrage d’un problème personnel

To paint is a need. It is a legal tender act and a pleasure which does not have even anything to see with the quality of a painting. I can explain a fabric, but a posteriori. Because when I paint, I do not know where I go. I do not paint with an intention. It is it me or the unconscious one which leads the gesture.
