Fabio Montalto is a photographer. Photography is not his profession... but rather his main form of entertainment. Having always been a multi-faceted creative, he definitely decided since 2008 to devote himself to photography, its genres and its evolution as a digital art.

Although photography took him away from the stereotypes of conventional art, in many of his photographic series this compositional expression, typical of painting, often inevitably appears. His formal research offers above all new details with always precise lighting. Photography is for him "a photosynthesis", that is to say a process of transformation which goes "from the perception of light... to the return of an emotion". This vibration that he feels personally at the time of the shot, he then likes to share it, in the form of an image, with as many souls who perceive the same frequency. His experiences range from incisive portraiture to concealed nudes, from frenetic street photography to ironic still life, but the genre that motivates him the most is the surreal/conceptual...where he lets his creativity run free. Post-production is an inevitable reality of digital evolution and, at the same time, a valuable creative tool. He believes in photography made of moments, waiting, courage, heart... humor and genius.

Fabio Montalto was born in 1968. He is a self-taught Sicilian artist, lives and works in Noto (Italy). He has participated in numerous exhibitions (Syracuse, Milan, Strasbourg, Madrid, Berlin…) He has received numerous awards (1st prize for photography PX3, in Paris in the nature category in 2012, 1st prize at the 8th Black and White Spider Awards, Black and White category in 2013 in London…) and his work is present in many private collections.
