"Life is a tapestry of moments woven together by time, and in 'Memories,' I sought to depict how these moments are held, shaped, and eventually transformed as life progresses.

The three glass spheres in the painting represent distinct aspects of our relationship with memory. In the first one a grandmother spins wool from the moon as a metaphor for the ephemeral nature of memory, while her spinning wheel symbolizes the act of crafting stories from fragments of the past. The winnows she uses represent the delicate balance of holding onto what is meaningful while letting go of what no longer serves us. The divine hand lowering her sphere into place hints at the forces beyond our control that influence how memories are formed and preserved.

The second sphere is a celebration of childhood innocence, represented by a toy bear seated on a swing beneath a glowing moon. This playful yet poignant image reflects the simplicity and joy of early memories, untouched by the complexities of adult life. The floating quality of this sphere suggests how these memories often feel untethered, existing in a dreamlike realm.

The third scene brings us to the relentless march of time. A man repairs a clock within the confines of his glass world, a reminder of how we try to control or preserve our memories even as time erodes them. The mechanisms of the clock are a metaphor for the complexity of human experience and our attempts to make sense of it all.

The desert landscape below serves as a stark contrast to their vibrancy, symbolizing the fragility of existence and the vastness of the unknown. Above, the surreal sky reminds us that while we may be confined to our individual 'bubbles,' the universe is far greater, and our memories are but a small part of its grandeur.

Through 'Memories,' I invite viewers to reflect on their own lives. Which memories do you hold close? How do you preserve them? And are you willing to step outside your sphere to see the world beyond?"
