"A cat and a mouse. Bacchanalia in the claret snow."

Strong paws threw up by a powerful push spray of snow. Following the deepest instinct, the beast rushed to its victim. Looking at the fast, agile animal, I waited for the end of the battle. In just a few moments everything changed. The virgin snow-white linen turned crimson and was covered with ruts and traces of blood. It seemed that unknown priests brought their unbiased god a sacrifice, having held only a well-known only to them ritual of fertility. Everything ended as quickly as it began and very soon this picture remained only in my memory covered with fresh snow.

Сильные лапы взметнули мощным толчком брызги снега вверх. Следуя за древнейшим инстинктом, зверь устремился к своей жертве. Глядя на быстрое, ловкое животное, я ждал, чем закончится битва. Всего за несколько мгновений все преобразилось. Девственное белоснежное полотно обагрилось, покрывшись рытвинами и следами крови. Казалось, будто неведомые жрецы принесли своему беспристрастному богу жертву, проведя только им известный ритуал плодородия. Все закончилось также стремительно как началось и уже совсем скоро эта картина осталась только в моей памяти, затянутая свежим снегом.
