The paintings represent strongly reduced impressions of a small part of reality. Colours and shapes that could represent landscapes if the viewer gets involved.

aber ich experimentiere auch mit Beton.
Les matériaux préférés pour mes sculptures sont: granit/cuivre, bois, fer plié et soudé. Mais je fait aussi des expérimentes avec le beton.

In the flora we find shapes, colours, structures; in short, all the elements that we find in contemporary painting.
I took these pictures with a digital camera when walking in our gardens, in nature, in botanical parks or while walking in nature.
This one offers an astonishing diversity and is a real gold mine for the artist.
The exposed photos are not altered, neither in terms of their colours nor their proportions. I only enlarged parts of it that seemed interesting to me from an artistic point of view.
In some cases it is impossible to recognize the plant in question.
I sought sobriety in taking these photos. They tend to express serenity and lead the viewer to discover the simplicity and intelligibility of everything in such a way as to constitute a counterpoint to the agitation of our complicated and hectic world.
When you look at these photos, you don't think about the botanical names of the plants or where they might be found. Let yourself be captivated by the artistic world where only the beauty of the colours, the structures and the extraordinary shapes of the plants count.

Biography
The works of artist Wolf Thiele are partly strictly geometric and minimalist, partly poetic and complex. They can be classified as abstract geometric constructive painting or as minimal art. Thiele experiments with the effect of colors, shapes, lines and surfaces on each other, with the subjectivity of optical perception.
His works are usually created from simple geometric shapes. He loves the formal austerity and economy of geometry and keeps it with Paul Klee: "Nature can afford to waste, the artist must ... be frugal". Analysis, reduction and variation are important principles of his work, and so digital media are appropriate tools for him to develop sketches, photos and sculptures.
Wolf Thiele lives and works in Gattières, on the Côte d'Azur, in Monaco and in Hamburg. He graduated in drawing and graphic design from the Villa Thiole art school in 2008 and 2013 respectively. One of his works was acquired by the National Museum of Art of China in 2015.
