Original oil painting on canvas of a tranquil village in China's suburbs. Most people who were born in villages rush into modern cities for better education and salary. But people that have never been to villages couldn’t get the real beauty of village lifestyle. I love landscapes, still life, nature and wildlife, lights and shadows, colorful sight. These things inspires me and always has been a part of my life. Everything in the village emerged into the nature so much, that I got a feeling that they were created by the nature itself. The freshness, relaxation, tranquility provided by the village are infused in my paintings and then conveyed to my viewers.

Biography of Wei Jia
I was graduated from The Central Academy of fine arts high school in 2002, then I moved on get my undergraduate degree at Academy of Arts & Design , Tsinghua University in 2006 and my master at China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2009. Since my childhood, I am fascinated with using brush to show the color, space composition, movement, and atmosphere of my surroundings. Although at that time, my parents wish me to take the normal career path, such as being an doctor or lawyer, I decided to devolve all my energy in creating fine arts. After professional training in Tsinghua University and China Central Academy of Fine Arts, I learned the basic skills and necessary knowledge of fine arts. I am particularly interested in oil paintings due to its powerful, full strokes and diverse manifestations. Currently, most of my works focus on the natural settings. I try to show the daily activities, typical landscapes and festivals of those small villages in China.
