Der Rheinfall – damals «grosses Lauffen» – gibt dem Schloss seinen Namen. Der Stammsitz der Freiherren von Laufen hat in der Folge viele Besitzer, u.a. den Bischof von Konstanz, das Kloster Allerheiligen Schaffhausen und den Grafen von Kyburg.
Seit über 1100 Jahren ist das Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall Zeuge vieler gesellschaftlicher und politischer Umwälzungen. Nicht selten stand es – aufgrund seiner privilegierten Lage – selber im Mittelpunkt von Auseinandersetzungen. Besuchen Sie das historische Gebäude und erleben Sie Geschichte.
