Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. This shows the guitarist in a characteristic posture. It is taken from a black and white publicity photo. I have added the pink and blue coloured lights close to the face to increase the drama and colour. Because of the brilliance of the colours I class it as fauvist in style.
It is painted in acrylic paint and inks on bastidor with fully painted edges to give the painting greater depth. Consequently it can be mounted on the wall even without an added frame and looks great as an integral part of your decor.

Oil

Paint consisting of pigments bound with linseed oil or carnations. The traditional technique consists of superimposing layers of paint increasingly rich in oil for a solid and durable hanger.

Fauvism

Born in 1905 in Paris, this movement bring together many artists who shared a radical practice of color. The painting by Henri Matisse (1869-1954), The woman with the hat, noticed at the autumn salon is one of the outstanding works of this movement. Artists like Maurice de Vlaminck (1876-1958), Raoul Dufy (1877-1947) and Georges Braque (1882-1963) mark this movement.

Technic Painting

Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other substrates. I am an English paintier living in Mexico. At times it can seem to be a very crazy culture, but this makes it particularly exhilarating for me. Whilst in England everything happens behind closed doors, here it is much more on the street. It is a living culture with street parades, festivals, religious pilgrimages and street theatre. Queretaro is particularly rich in theatres and party places for children. Mexico is a melting pot of peoples including Spanish, Indigenous Indian Toltec and European/Americans (USA). We are at the meeting point of all the Americas. Drugs going north, guns coming south, illegal imigrants going north and United States industry moving south. Corruption, kidnapping, extortion and narco-gang-wars are rife. The costumes are colourful, the women are very womanly and sexy and the people fun-loving. There is much poverty, especially in the indiginous Indians who form the majority of the street sellers. Despite the corrupt laws, police and Caltholic church, the people can always smile with broad smiles and laugh at advercity. Every birthday is taken as an excuse for a party/fiesta. For me it is a painter's paradise. I am just surprized that it is relatively undiscovered and not more of a tourist attraction to Europeans.
