The painting is sold unframed, with a hook on the backside. All sides are painted, so it can be hung straight out of the box. Of course you could also frame it later on, if you choose to do that.

The painting will be carefully packed in cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap and sent out to you as soon as possible.

Vita Schagen is a contemporary Dutch painter. Schagen focuses on paradoxical topics in her artwork, which she enjoys conceptualizing before transferring to the canvas. She sketches that chaotic first layer while she is painting, and the oil paint then instructs her on what strokes to apply next. The artist would describe her aesthetic as rather impressionist. In order to be more flexible and free to create vibrant, thick layers of paint, she prefers to use a palette knife rather than a brush. She is directly expressing her feelings onto the painting in this way.
