N° 031

Japan, a country steeped in history and culture, has carried us over the passing of time. However, if there is a cultural aspect that has hardly changed, it is that the art of geisha. We Europeans have always believed that geishas were actually bad women (prostitutes). However, it is quite otherwise, and women who keep the secret of the oldest art, is transmitting geisha geisha for several centuries, are not prostitutes, but hold a know-how that is still largely unknown in the western horizon of young gaijins we are.

Vincent Sabatier, a contemporary French artist, embarked on his creative journey after graduating from the Beaux-Arts de Grenoble in 1997. Initially, he delved into the realms of styling and communication, showcasing his versatility before undergoing a transformative shift in 2009. This marked the beginning of his dedicated exploration of art, both as a teacher and a devoted practitioner.

At the core of Sabatier's artistic repertoire is a groundbreaking and patented process that fuses silkscreen and resin, resulting in a hybridized form that defies traditional categorizations. His meticulous mastery of liquid resin and silkscreen techniques, combined with surprising insertions, transforms each creation into a vibrant and unpredictable universe.

Sabatier defines his artistic approach as Neo Pop Art, a genre that seamlessly integrates elements of sculpture and painting. His works become immersive experiences, rich in textural effects and interplay of light, skillfully navigating the delicate balance between transparency and opacity.

The thematic threads woven into Sabatier's creations are deeply rooted in contemporary cultural references. Embracing the emblematic figures of his generation, his polysemic works unfold with a sense of timeliness and relevance, allowing for diverse interpretations based on his evolving inspirations.

One of Sabatier's acclaimed series, the "Roboclusions" sculptures, has garnered widespread admiration from art collectors around the globe. These sculptural marvels showcase his ability to captivate audiences with a synthesis of innovation, cultural resonance, and a unique visual language.
