Antonella Poleti was born in the province of Rome. She discovered her love for painting at the age of 13, when her art teacher put canvases and brushes in her hands, and she hasn't stopped since that day.
He cultivates his passion as a self-taught person, studying and giving vent to his emotions painting after painting.
In the 2000s he left Rome and moved to Piedmont, to Asti..
It's during one night, while he was on duty as an OSS, that something happened. He begins to string together words after words, embroidering his own sensations, so in addition to painting he enriches his paintings with his poems.
Thus he satisfies the strong desire to express what he feels in certain moments.
(Guido Passini)
Antonella Poleti's poetry transports us lightly and gently into the great tradition of female poetry in the most precious and significant sense of the term from ancient Greece to the present day.
It is always short poetry, which thus recovers the taste of the lyrical fragment, of the rapid but incisive image, often with lines of a single word which therefore becomes a symbol evocative of an image.
It is poetry that is at times velvety, sweet as a sigh, at times more internally painful, with even existentially dramatic accents but always resolved in the enchantment of the depictions, the colors and the emotions that they are able to convey.
Well, in my opinion, the overall vision of Antonella's poetry would not be complete if her well-known aptitude for figurative art were not also taken into account.
And furthermore (a reason that cannot be missing in female poetry) Antonella knows how to talk about love, with essentiality and measure, with an internal dialogue that is both simple and elevated, because she knows how to talk about love in its highest meaning, the corporeal one and joyful but also the immaterial one of communication between souls.
A set of lyrics capable of moving precisely because of the total absence of saccharine or saccharine tones, precisely because of the polite discretion that accompanies every mention of love, of pain, of that complex of shades, sometimes dark, sometimes light, which is, for everyone, life.
(Ugo Colla)
In 2016 Antonella leaves Piedmont and returns to Rome, where she stays for just two years, abandoning her pen and brushes. In 2018 he moved to the Marche and here he resumed painting, also experimenting with other techniques (such as the spatula) and radically changing his style, in search of a contemporary abstractionism which, in each work, outlines his already known characteristics and where his personality.
In addition to taking up painting again, he also began to create artistic objects of "poor art", using the material available from time to time, often waste. And so, from a piece of wooden branch found on the beach, from a stone, from a glass jar... every time a new work of rare beauty is born that transmits profound emotions.
