Stephan Venekas is a French fine art photographer. Subtil game of lights and colours, obvious passion for aviation, gripping capture of the image, feeling of speed… His work reflects his continuous search for emotions that unveil more than they suggest a new figurative world; an almost unreal idealisation which takes its origins from vertical cities such as Hong-Kong. Moreover, his pictures reveal an obvious fusion between aeronautical science, architecture and feminity which leads us to the fantasy of the unreachable female pilot. The result is a somehow paradoxal mix between freedom and constraints.
In conclusion, an everlasting and unchanging vision of a world which is in constant movement.

Jeu subtil de couleurs, passion évidente pour l'aéronef, capture d'image saisissante, sensation de vitesse... Ses oeuvres sont le reflet d'une quête assidue d'émotions, nous dévoilant plus qu'elles ne nous suggèrent un monde figuratif nouveau; idéalisation quasi irréelle puisant sa source dans les villes verticales telles que Hong-Kong, New York ou Dubai.
De surcroît, ses tableaux révèlent une fusion évidente entre science aéronautique, architecture et féminité qui nous amène subrepticement au fantasme de la femme pilote inaccessible.
En résulte un alliage quelque peu paradoxal entre interdit et liberté. Au final, une vision immuable et intemporelle d'un monde en constante mutation.
