Born in 1970 in Toulon, I live in Mérignac near Bordeaux.
I often draw what I call “balance systems” to organize my paintings. These are graphic elements with a mineral appearance which support each other, like dolmens, and whose improbable arrangement must nevertheless endure gravity and hold in place. They provide me with my lines of force, then disappear completely under the color and are transformed into maternity wards, into birds and couples in the figurative compositions, or persist in the abstract compositions. Moreover, the border between abstraction and figurative is not always clear in my paintings.
