A love of art has always been at the heart of Tito Villa's life, a passion that took root in his childhood and continued to flourish throughout his life. His training at the Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, France, was a springboard towards the exploration of different artistic dimensions, including large format painting, video, photography, graphic art and art history.

Tito Villa's work has been exhibited in prestigious venues around the world, such as the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Bordeaux in France, the Musée National d'Art Moderne du Center Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia during the 8th Sydney Biennale, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago in the United States, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston in the United States, the Venice Biennale in Italy, the National Museum of Modern Art in Kyoto and Tokyo in Japan, as well as in New Orleans in the United States, Valencia in Spain and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid in Spain.
