Tidiane N’DONGO est un artiste plasticien né en 1970 à Bamako au Mali. Il débute son éducation dans une école coranique avant d'intégrer un établissement franco-arabe. Il y étudie jusqu’à l’obtention du baccalauréat. N’ayant pas pu obtenir une bourse d’études pour poursuivre ses études à l’étranger, Tidiane exerce des petits boulots.
C’est en 1994 qu’il decide d’apprendre la technique du bogolan auprès de Youssouf Sidibé Nelly à Bamako-Coura, un quartier populaire de la capitale malienne. Très vite, Youssouf qui devient son maitre et son ami, lui confie la gestion de son atelier. Tout en restant attaché à la technique traditionnelle – à base d’argile, de plantes et de racines... - Tidiane développe son propre style qu’il nomme DOGODOGONI = LABYRINTHE et GALERIE.
Après son apprentissage en bogolan, Tidiane commence à son tour à enseigner le bogolan à des jeunes de son quartier. C’est à ce moment qu’il devient très proche de son voisin, feu Yssou Keita (un grand artiste du meme quartier). C’est Yssou Keita qui le pousse et le dirige dans la réalisation de ses premiers tableaux.
