Biography
Surrealist and original and surprising character, Thierry Mordant is a drawer, a graphic designer, a painter as singular as he is talented.Thierry combines skills and areas of interest (and it is all the more difficult to describe). Adept of the small format LE TIMBRE-POSTE, as well as of the POSTERBOARD or the "LARGE FORMAT" painting, he travels through territories and themes with the greatest naturalness. Author of about fifty postage stamps approved by Monaco since then - including the effigies of Prince Albert II in 2005 - he has also created several stamps for Africa (Sao Tomé é Principe), then for France (since 2002), NEW CALEDONIA, and for Belgium since 2008.In this WORLD of miniature creations that travel, Thierry develops a parallel WORLD in paintings, around a specific technique of painting by projection with the TOOTH BRUSH and acrylic (NO SPRAY-NO AIRBRUSH).Thierry Pioche's palette includes the colours of the CIRCUS, of AFRICA, through other themes such as ANGELS and so on; FAIRIES, FORMULA 1, NATURE, or CINEMA ... "Thierry Mordant's works in puzzles: a new passion born in times of confinement
Thierry Mordant, a famous painter, has created fourteen unique works, including twelve paintings and two drawings, which Ravensburger has turned into puzzles. During this period of continuing health crisis, Thierry Mordant had the idea of taking on a new challenge: to create puzzles from his own paintings. This experience plunged him into a world of patience and observation, which awakened a new passion in him.
