Dedicated to my first Norilsk snowstorm.
You know, a blizzard in Norilsk is very special.
I don’t know how it works, but when a very strong wind blows in your face, you cannot breathe in until it stops blowing.
The first time it happened to me was at the age of 5. And then I did not know yet that I could muster my strength and turn my back to the wind. This was scary. For the first time. I still remember this.
When I grew up, I solved this problem radically. I just left Norilsk. But he stayed with me forever. And when I look at my work, I remember all this strength and power of the north, which always tests us for strength.
And I know for sure that no "fashionable" problems like an obsession, procrastination, and other troubles from our childhood are essentially nothing, in comparison with this element in front of which I feel helpless.
This original artwork is in two parts. It is suitable for any modern interior: living room, dining room or bedroom.
This artwork was created using acryl pigments and stretched linen canvas. A thin layer of varnish protects the artwork against UV rays and dust.
The canvas is stretched on wooden frame. The sides are painted. The artwork is ready to hang.
The artwork is signed on the back and accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity.

My name is Tatiana Malygina. I am abstract artist.
Every person is unique. Each of us has our path, our own life experience, which shapes us, making us different from others. Therefore, I want to tell you a little about myself so that you can better understand me and my painting.
I was born in Ukraine. For me, it is a bright, colorful, sunny, and beautiful place. Just imagine greenery, sun, endless blue sky, cornfields, smiles, the anticipation of happiness and love... This is how I remember it.
Then we moved to the Far North to such a cold and snowy Norilsk with its ascetic, harsh, grey-white landscape. And also with an endless polar night and yellow lanterns that fill the void with meaning. There is a special charm in this. Although the understanding of this harsh beauty came to me much later, after I left Norilsk for good.
When I grew up and became independent in my choice, I found my city - this is Moscow. I adore Moscow for its energy, speed, dynamics, brightness, and sometimes for the grey sky because it reminds me of the harsh and deserted North.
That is why in my works I choose certain colors that are colored with a meaning that I understand. I approach the choice of color intuitively, I try to convey my emotions and feelings to them.
I love abstraction. It allows me to create not only a visual image but to reflect emotions, which is no less important for me.
Art for me is also a huge field for experiment, personal and professional growth. I am inspired by the processes of transformation, working with familiar materials that are in the process of transformation. I often experiment with different mediums, materials, and textures.
