"This is not about what you see , this is about how you feel. This is how I feel and how I express myself." I've been often asked to tell more about myself , my need for creation and what inspires me. People think they would understand the meaning of my artwork if they understand who I am. My inspiration , such a simple answer , my family , my love. That sounds "cliché" , but my passion , my wish for sharing , my emotions such as nostalgy , melancholy , hope , all these things that drive me to create , come from a same source. There is no creation without Love. What I live every days , what I learn , what I feel , I express it through my artworks , my painting , my writing...Reserved , introverted by nature , this is where I have found my exutory. Though unleashing my deepest emotions proved difficult at the early stages of my work , I needed to find my own style , free from other artists's influences. I think creation knows no limits and one does not need to copy anyone else. Ideas arise every second from each of us , it's up to us to finds our own way to express them. I tend not to name my paintings for I like to leave people to their own imagination. They can like it , they can hate it , I want people to get their own feeling about my artwork. However , I am often asked to "put a name" on each of my paintings , which I do. But , still I believe we should not impose our own interpretation when it comes about Art. Mealeva Tam
