Best practices: How to present your works well?
Only submit photos of works of art
- Show only photos of finished works of art, of real artistic interest
- If the image does not belong in an art gallery, it cannot be presented on Artmajeur.
- Do not show personal photos, press articles, awards, diplomas, exhibition announcements or anything that is not strictly a work of art (you can present them in the NEWS section)
- The image should be a work of art, perfectly centered and cropped, to provide an enjoyable viewing experience for customers. Exterior elements that interfere with viewing (added text, watermark, photo date, visible background or frame support, etc.) are not permitted unless they are an integral part of the work.
- DO NOT SHOW ALL of your art, only THE BEST of your art
Why have some of my images been flagged as non-compliant?
- Additional texts appear in the image (copyrights, date, names, watermark)
- External elements are displayed (people, backgrounds, presentation materials)
- Image is not centered or cropped or is framed
- The image is not correctly oriented
- The image is not properly documented (category, title, description)
- Images made with a computer/tablet/application must be in the Digital Arts category
- The image shows an unfinished artwork (oeuvre
- The image is not a work of art
How are non-compliant images affected?
Works that are not perfectly presented are less likely to attract art lovers, so they will receive fewer views. As a result, they will also be less well indexed by Google and will not appear well placed in search results. It is such a shame!
Why are my images non-compliant?
The images must be free of anything that could disturb the visualization (visible decorations, badly framed photo, text added to the images, inadequate description etc...).
Images that are non-compliant generally fall into one or more of these categories:
- The image is not a work of art
- Image is not centered or cropped, or has a frame
- Additional texts appear in the image (copyrights, date, names, watermark)
What should I do?
- Please take the time to read the guidelines and edit your images to make them compliant.
- Use the "Edit Image" section to edit, crop or change your image
Rules of good practice
The image should be a work of art, perfectly centered and framed, to provide an enjoyable viewing experience for customers. External elements that disturb the visualization (added texts, watermark, photo date, visible background or frame support etc ...) are not authorized unless they are an integral part of the work.
- Show only photos with real artistic interest
- If it shouldn't be in a gallery, it shouldn't be on Artmajeur either.
- DO NOT show personal photos, press articles, awards, diplomas, exhibition announcements or anything that is not strictly a work of art.
- Images made with a computer/tablet/app must be in the Digital Arts category
Once you edit your images properly, they will attract more art lovers and gain a better index on Google!
