Sun Yanqin, was born in February of 1982 in the beautiful mountain city of Chongqing, China.
She is a self-taught artist. When she was young she liked to paint on paper or on the wall or just about anywhere. “Looking at the sky in a daze as a child – probably the sky is the source of my painting,” she says.
To Sun, art is not only the expression of painting technique, but also the expression of the human soul as well as how we view the world. She advocates a view which is free, innovative, harmonious, caring and supports world peace. Therefore her paintings mainly express her inner feelings as their main theme.
It seems to be abstract, simple painting, but in fact it expresses strong feelings.
Sun hopes that through her paintings people will feel the same kind of feelings and passion, so that they can find useful things in their hearts. She calls this "a journey of the heart."
So her works not only express her feelings but also through her works she hopes to arouse people’s passions – to wake up their souls.
Sun is expanding and her work is becoming more mature. She is constantly striving to achieve a perfection of expression.
