Salvatore Palita è nato a Sassari. Dopo la Maturità in Arte Applicata conseguita all’Istituto Statale D’Arte di Sassari, studia Architettura a Firenze. Fondamentali le lezioni del prof. Gianni Pettena, sulle “Architetture inconsce” (realizzate negli U.S.A. tra il ‘72-‘73) la Land Art e l’utopia dell’Architettura Radicale. Frequenta il corso di Design tenuto dal prof. A. Natalini, fondatore del “Superstudio” e dell’utopia progettuale che segnerà la nascita dell’avanguardia architettonica degli anni ’70. Dal ’77 compie varie esperienze nel campo della progettazione architettonica, dell’arredamento, della grafica e della pubblicità.Dal ‘84 si occupa professionalmente di graphic design.Superate le prove d’ammissione, si iscrive all’Associazione Italiana Professionisti Pubblicitari. Dal 1985 allestisce mostre personali di grafica pittorica e partecipa a Concorsi d’Arte Regionali e Nazionali. Sue opere fanno parte di Collezioni pubbliche (Comine Sassari, Fondazione Banco di Sardegna) e private.
Dal 1985 porta avanti la sua ricerca concettuale che si ispira alla Narrative Art degli anni ‘70: “Il collage fotografico, il segno grafico, il colore e la scrittura creano una deformazione dell'asse temporale che fonde immagini e testi in una nuova dimensione”.
