The artist tells Stefano Lippiello, naked, human nature in all its facets through the breathing and heart of stone, he makes us listen with great skill. With purity, between balance and simplicity of matter, resumes and tribal elements of African art in which the mask is to represent the spirit of the subject and not its outward appearance. They blend well with mythological references as in sculpture depicting the giant Antaeus, frequently depicted on Greek vases, among which is the famous crater Eufronio (Paris, Louvre), invincible until remained in contact with his mother, the Earth, that returned forces whenever he touched her and defeated by Hercules. Lippiello traces the difficult and tortuous path of the human being, but that leads to success, also representing the opposition and the interaction between the opposite poles of reality (male-female, and so on). The sculptor is addressing the crisis of subjectivity highlighting fears and ambiguity of each. Man lives in a state of ignorance and deceit and in a state of structural pain, trying continuous illusions baseless. He lives the conflict between the infinitude of human aspirations and the finiteness of its unsurpassed ability to realization. Not only human suffering but also the symbolic representation of specific virtues, such as self-control, patience, humility; the bulging forehead indicates wisdom, chin and mouth very large can represent authority and power. The works, in which there are references to the art of Picasso in particular the painting of Les Demoiselles d'Avignon of 1907 (New York, MOMA), are characterized by the simultaneity of images and interact with the surrounding space, penetrating, as if they had, with it, a passionate relationship that tensions, caresses, movements (momentum) and static (reflection).
