Scatole vuote, bidoni, carta straccia, buste di plastica, sono infatti oggetti quotidiani in cui ci imbattiamo aggirandoci per le sue strade.
Cumuli di materie che possono assurgere a simboli dello spreco e del consumo frenetico delle moltitudini umane che la abitano, ma che, se separati dal contesto, assumono interessanti forme e articolate geometrie che si intersecano in una sinfonia di linee e di molteplici colori, mostrando tutta la loro bellezza.
Ed è nella esplosione dei colori con cui trasfiguro gli oggetti che voglio raccontare la forza vitale e l’energia indomabile della città che amo: Napoli.

Silvia Rea is a contemporary Italian artist. Prior to devoting herself to painting full-time, she frequently attended the Naples academy of Belle Arti's free nude course before joining in Umberto Leonetti and Luigi Cerqua's painting classes. Rea has studied with the teachers Marco Chiuchiarelli and Charles Palumbo since 2006, deepening her understanding of the anatomy, traditional pictorial approaches, and the sketch from reality. She exhibited her works in Italy and France.
