The affirmation is not mean to deny yourself in pain and to pretend happy or joy all the time. Practical affirmation can be possible when our unhappiness and suffering are removed from the root. Our attitude toward God is same as this.
We can try to forget ourself in pain because of the idea that we should respect and fear God, but If this attitude is dominant, the heart toward God can be formally rather than frankly, it can be cause the distance between God and me. The prayers of David, Job, Moses, Elijah, Paul in Bible are sympathetic to God and widely cited even in modern, the biggest reason of it is that their prayers were straightforward and honest. This work contains the content of speak out to God in honest prayer about myself and the world in pain. It is composed of a total 6 parts and in parts of the prayer of karis1-4 are expressed personal suffering through prayer and parts of the prayer of karis5-6 are expressed children who are suffering by poverty, violence, labor, war&etc through intercessory prayer. Contents of the prayer of karis1 is as belows.
Dear Lord
Lord in control of my life, I can't live a single day without your grace, please renew my soul so that
I may walk with you. Let this prayer be a time to open the closed doors of life, allow me to experience you and fill my whole body with your spirit. Please pour out the spring water of joy in my broken heart, give me wealth and abundance to my life exhausted by poverty, make hope not despair but reality. I ask the Lord, I want to find your will, I knock on your door, so please give me, please let me find your will, please open your door. Please let me praise you with overflowing joy and gratitude, let good things happen in every moment, let heal my broken heart with the peace and joy from heaven. Oh Lord, please make disappear all negative thoughts, all despairs, raise up my dying body, do not let your relationship be broken by repeated failures and frustrations, now please make all good results of all my plans, so that you and I can rejoice together. Please make me believe that you will answer my prayers, you are always with me, you will make disappear all my pains and sufferings of the past, present and future,  please let me give glory to you with overflowing joy and gratitude after make a good result to everything. Please open your door, open your ears and open your eyes, then after looking at my life, from now the wonderful miracles and blessings of the Lord, let me experience it directly. I am weak and lacking, but you are strong and lack for nothing, so please pass on  your attributes to me too, please show me that you are not the same with father on earth, who is incompetent and selfish. Please make me feel your love, make me feel your warm hand, give me grace that I can experience the living Lord within me. Lord you know all my needs, please fill in it. I believe that there is power in the name of Jesus Christ. Whenever
I command and proclaim with the name of Jesus Christ, please make disappear all my despairs, make disappear all my misfortunes, make
disappear all my negative and depressing thoughts, make disappear all my darkness and evil, make disappear all my disbelief, doubt and resentment toward you. All these prayers, I pray in Jesus name, Amen.
