Born in 1939 in Hérault, France, into a family of notable art collectors, artist photographer Servin devoted more than fifty years to his passion for art. His artistic career has been shaped by a diverse education and varied experience.

He had the chance to be a student of two renowned artists, one with a modern style and the other academic. This duality has helped to forge his own artistic identity, combining contemporary and traditional elements in his work. Subsequently, he trained as an architectural designer, thus broadening his artistic skills.

A significant step in his career was his role as assistant for the restoration of the frescoes of a theater run by a prominent figure in painting restoration. This experience allowed him to gain valuable expertise in the preservation of visual art.

The start of his artistic career took place in the south of France, where he organized his first solo exhibition in 1966, followed by numerous solo and group exhibitions, notably at the Béziers museum. In 1968, he made the decision to settle in Paris to pursue his artistic journey.

In 1973 and 1988, he participated in two group exhibitions in the print cabinet of the National Library, thus consolidating his presence in the Parisian artistic world. In 1982, he launched the plastic art broadcasts of Radio Libertaire, which had a significant impact on the art scene in Paris and its suburbs.

In 1984 and 1985, he organized action poetry evenings in the cabaret "le Trou noir", thus marking the beginning of experimental poetry evenings in a Parisian cabaret. His artistic commitment and creativity continued to flourish with the opening of an avant-garde art stand at the Saint-Ouen flea market, where he formed friendships with important art dealers Parisians.

Servin also contributed to artists' magazines in France, Quebec and Italy, exhibiting his works in group exhibitions in France and by mail in Italy and Quebec.

In 1989, before his departure from Paris, France-Culture devoted a program to him, thus recognizing his importance in the French artistic landscape. He then left Paris to settle in the south of France, at the Presbytère de Lamontélarié, where he created a vast garden as a place for personal exhibitions, attracting around 200 visitors each summer.

In 1998, France 3 dedicated a major television report to him throughout the Occitanie region, which was rebroadcast in 1999 internationally on the Alice channel. In 2008, his posthumous marriage to Alma Navailles became a national event, attracting the attention of five television channels at the town hall and in his Presbytery garden.

Since his return to the south of France, Servin has continued to mark his artistic presence through personal exhibitions and his participation in group exhibitions and art festivals in Tarn, Hérault, Aude and 'Aveyron. His artistic journey reflects a life dedicated to art in all its forms, an artistic adventure rich in experiences and achievements.
