Sébastien Pouteau, artist photographer, draws his artistic inspiration from a journey that began in his childhood, awakened by the graphic arts. Even before obtaining his baccalaureate, he learned about painting by taking lessons from a copyist at the Louvre. These lessons introduce him to the preparation of supports and paintings, depending on the works he reproduces. His first artistic loves were towards masters such as Fragonard, of whom he was particularly fond of "The Lock", Rembrandt for his play of light and shadow, and Turner for his unique atmospheres. The fascination with contrasts will deeply mark his work, a characteristic which will be found in his future creations.
After obtaining his baccalaureate, Sébastien joined an artistic school where he obtained a diploma in illustration and artistic direction. The advent of the Internet propelled him into the digital world, where he would spend more than two decades creating interactive websites for events, as well as national and international advertising campaigns as an art director, working for major advertising agencies .
One day, Sébastien decides to leave this comfort zone and return to his childhood dream, which consists of exploring and revealing the beauties of the world around him through his artistic creations. The digital world having had a profound impact on his personality, digital photography naturally imposed itself on him.
Today, Sébastien travels the world in search of the ideal light and the right moment to express his artistic sensitivity. His photographs capture the very essence of his journey, blending elements of his traditional artistic education with a remarkable mastery of the digital universe. His work demonstrates a constant quest for beauty and emotion through the lens of his camera, inviting viewers to share his vision of the world.
