Mikhail Yakovlev is a contemporary Russian sculptor. He is the author of the monument to Irish writer James Joyce in Moscow. Yakovlev is working in realism style, sculpting portraits from James Joyce and Samuel Beckett to Miles Davis and Rachmaninoff.
Mikhail Yakovlev was born in 1972, in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he graduated from the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
