Biography
Colour and happiness … Irina Samobrod, young Ukrainian artist living in France, trained in several schools of Art, having evolved in the environment of the fashion and the styling, holds as motives of her work significant images … By mixing in her works - and in a merry confusion - objects of the everyday life, the heroes of comic strips, characters of every day, texts and extracts of advertising, we are tried to classify her work in the Pop Art with all that it expresses of popular symbols.
To paint is, for Irina, the opportunity to tell sometimes absurd but never innocent stories …Drawing up portraits or by parodying famous images, the explosion of the forms and the intrigue, the chaotic aspect of the decor, the mixture of the painting, of graphics and a little bit anachronistic graffiti, the obsessional multiplication of details or sensual or ambiguous situations ….all that, by feigning the childishness, does not contribute to insert an order into the world or the society… but rather shows the extravagance, the excesses and the futility …

The woman has always been one of the most enigmatic and mysterious creatures on Earth.
From the very beginning, it was a great subject of inspiration but also an inexhaustible source of questions.
The woman continues to embody all at once an impenetrable mystery, the inconceivable and unforeseeable, but especially raw expression of freedom!
The woman body has inspired and still inspires many painters, sculptors, photographers, film producers ...
Everyone tried with more or less success, to resolve the insolvent!
And what about the woman today? She is free, dynamic and modern; a strong woman, allow to think, to love and thrive!
A sweet and sulfurous mix of independence and vulnerability.
This is the woman that inspired me throughout my life as an artist!
And it is therefore natural that she has been and still is the focus of my work.
The world around us pushes me to broaden my field of perception and stimulates my sensibilities.
It is for all these reasons that I chose the woman with his strengths and weaknesses as my subject of creation.
This helps me to feel FREE!

« WHO AM I? WHAT ARE MY ORIGINS?” Such are the eternal questions that continue to haunt each of our minds.
From the first moments of our life, our face transmits each of our feelings: desire, joy, love, hate so destructive and many others...
Our eyes «as an underground lake mirror of our soul» reflect our inner world. When we are able to dive into the heart of this lake and to read the emotional state hidden there, it may result joy or anger, laughs or tears without really understand why.
The link so strong before, but now forgotten, between men and nature puts me in a deep sadness. In order to understand "who we are", it is vital to take the path that leads to the origins of the world which surrounds us. We are only a link in the creation of the world, a single particle participating in the life’s balance as an undeniable factor in the process of evolution. Forgetting our roots, our origins, or trying to go in the wrong direction will not allow us to answer the Question "WHO AM I?”.

Irina Samobrod, artiste française d'origine ukrainienne.
Formée dans plusieurs écoles d'arts (en France et en Ukraine), ayant évoluée dans le milieu de la mode et du stylisme, elle retient comme motifs des images de son histoire immédiatement significatives.
Dans son travail on peut également retrouver l'influence de ses origines.
Les œuvres d'arts nous rappellent que nous sommes mortels et que notre vie s'achèvera un jour. Dans ces œuvres, parfois un peu sombres au premier abord, on découvre une belle touche d'humour et de modernité (la mode, les références aux mondes des super-héros de comics et de grandes sagas cinématographiques).
Dans notre monde actuel, il s'agit avant tout d'une tendance à inviter chacun de nous à profiter de la vie et des instants présents.
La beauté, la puissance, la richesse et la considération sociale ne sont pas éternelles et amenées à disparaitre avec le temps.

Nous avons été séduits par l'Esprit de Vos oeuvres... au point de succomber à ce côté "flashy" pour décorer notre intérieur. Nous sommes ainsi devenus les heureux propriétaires de "Fashion Addict" et d'une autre toile, illustration décalée d'une jeune femme assise sur une voiture à pédale, laissant flotter le long foulard enveloppant sa tête.

me encantó tu arte es muy actual, muy ensimismado con esta epoca tecnologica, es como convirtieron a la mujer en un objeto, una muñeca asi de porcelana, intocable, inaccesible, con la cabeza llena de idioteces, muy pero muy bueno tu mensaje, me encantó, te felicito, esta como desvirtuada de la realidad, totalmente, mas la del niño vestido de rosa con el casco de la guerra de las galaxias....muy bueno...me encantó...
