My name is Samira Yanushkova. I was born on August 24, 1981, in Odessa, Ukraine. In 1998, I graduated from a public education school in Pershotravensk. After that, I entered a faculty of decorative and applied art of Dnipro Theatre and Art College. I graduated in 2003.
In 2008 I received my diploma from the faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Art Studies.
I am a certified watercolor artist.
Throughout the years of my career, I have participated in dozens of exhibitions. Among the most prominent events were the International Watercolor exhibition Ukraine 2018, IWS Czech Republic 1st International Watercolor Festival 2018, Art Zurich 2019, and Our Wonderful World, 2020. Participation in IFAM Global, Golden brash contest ‘Love Peace & Tolerance Through Art’ brought me an award. In 2021, I participated in the World of Modern Watercolor event with the painting ‘Garlic’. In the same year, I entered a list of top - 100 painters of the USA. In the same year the painting “Fisherman’ was presented at Brushstrokes of Harmony in California. My paintings have been exhibited on many continents in many countries like Russia, Ukraine, USA, Vietnam, Turkey, Indonesia and more.
My paintings display energy, color, and brightness. I am using watercolors because they help me recreate the world in my paintings. I am inspired by nature and its colors. If I needed to describe my art in short, I would say that I catch the sunbeams with my paintbrush. My job is my hobby at the same time, and I enjoy every moment spent on painting.

Ukrainian Samira Yanushkova entered the TOP-100 artists of the USA
IWS California USA has selected watercolors for the First International Online Juried Exhibition “Brushstrokes of Harmony” 2021. Samira Yanushkova became a participant of the exhibition and, thus, entered the TOP-100 of US artists.
IWS California USA presents the First International Online Juried Exhibition “Brushstrokes of Harmony” 2021. Artists from any country, aged 18 and over, could participate in the competition. The main criteria for the selection of competitive works:
A watercolourist could submit only one application with one painting, made by himself/herself; A work must be painted at least 90 percent in watercolors on paper.
The judges of the competition were such world famous artists as David Taylor, Linda Doll, Barbara Nechis, Kiril Bozhkov and Aniket Mahale. The jury selected only 100 best works from 838 submitted paintings for the competition. One of the participants in the exhibition was the Ukrainian watercolorist Samira Yanushkova. She will present her work titled "Fisherman" at the exhibition. The painting was valued at $ 700. Also, the paintings of three more Ukrainian watercolor artists were approved for the competition. They are: Anna Kuchabskaya, Natalia Kudryavtseva and Pavel Benedyuk.
The exhibition will be held online. Competitive works will be submitted on February 15, 2021. During the First International Online Juried Exhibition, visitors of the virtual gallery will have the opportunity to purchase the painting they like.
At the finale of the Exhibition “Brushstrokes of Harmony” which will take place on February 16, 2021, the jury will conduct an online presentation of the awards. All participants will receive electronic certificates of participation. Three winners will receive an electronic award certificate.

Samira Yanushkova will represent Ukraine at the prestigious art festival in Moscow
Selection of participants of the II International Art Festival "World of High Watercolor" 2021 took place on January 15, in Moscow. Talented painter-watercolorist Samira Yanushkova will represent Ukraine at this prestigious festival.
Organizing committee of autonomous non-profit organization Creative Association "World of Modern Watercolor" selected artists from all over the world for the II International Art festival "World of High Watercolor", which will be held from 1 to 17 October 2021 in Moscow. The exhibition will feature over 140 works watercolors from 41 countries. Among all applicants for participation in the festival from Ukraine, only Samira Yanushkova with her work "Garlic" managed to enter the final part.
"World of High Watercolor" unites watercolor artists all over the world. The program of the 2021 festival has not been published yet, but the organizers say it will be presented later. If to take in attention of the first art festival in Moscow, which took place in 2019, then it can be assumed that the program will include exhibitions, master classes, lectures and seminars; as well as fairs and charity auctions. The cost of S. Yanushkova's painting "Garlic" starts at $ 1,000.
Samira Yanushkova is a virtuoso master of watercolor painting techniques. Her mastery of rendering color and shade both surprises and amazes with accuracy. Thanks to this, Samira takes prizes in prestigious international competitions. For example, her work "Grandma Solmaz" was the winner of the 7th international competition "Golden Brush" in 2020 in Turkey. In addition, among the latest achievements of the talented Ukrainian aquarellist - Excellent Award at Malaysian International Online art competition of 2020 ", where she took the third place with her work" Sunflower ".

Ukrainian artist made the honor roll for the winners at the international art competition in Malaysia
Ukrainian watercolor artist Samira Yanushkova received an "Excellent award "in the category "Flora " at the" Malaysian International Online Competition arts of 2020 ".
On December 8, the winners of the Malaysian International Online 2020 Art Contest” which was organized by IFAM Global and J&Y Art Studio, were announced. Artists from 70 countries participated in the competition.
Ukrainian watercolor artist Samira Yanushkova received an "Excellent award" in the category "Flora" and became of one the winners. The competition was held in two nominations - "Landscape" and "Flora". The highest award in the Flora category was the Outstanding IFAM Award. Laurin McCracken from the United States of America got it. The second was the Escoda Gold Brush Award which was given to Nancy Lau from Malaysia.
The so-called "bronze medal" of the competition was the "Excellent Award". Five participants including the Ukrainian Samira Yanushkova got it at once. Russian artist Anna Ozerskaya, the Portuguese Julio Jorge, Veneta Docheva - Bulgaria and Zhanghui from China shared the place on the podium with her:
“It is a great honor for me to be included in the list of winners in the Malaysian international online art competition 2020”! I thank the organizers for the opportunity to show my creativity and admire the beautiful works of other participants”, - wrote Samira Yanushkova on her Instagram page.
The artist from Moldova Igor Mosiiciuc, Soha Khalil from Egypt, Carol Carter from the USA, Stefan Yau - Canada, and Susanna Wong – Singapore, received the prize in the category "Award for Merit".
In the category “Landscape”, four artists received the award: Min-Chang from Taiwan, Praween Karmakar Jharkhand from India, Russian Alena Kruglova and Stefan Gehrig from Malaysia.
Outstanding IFAM Winner Received Special Medal, Award a certificate and a cash prize of 500 Malaysian ringgit. Other winners received E-Award certificates from IFAM Global FB Page, and fiction material prizes by Daniel Smith, White Nights, and Escoda, including professional painting products.
