Sahra Abdallah-Khodja is a contemporary French artist. Her studies in architecture and graphics were her first steps into the art world. The artist’s initial works were "futile" objects that fell between ornamental and utilitarian, such as vases, door handles, corkscrews, and so on. Then she decided to focus her artistic efforts on human anatomy, which serves as a link between architecture and sculpture.

Deforming the human body, extruding it, opening it, or crushing it, as a kind of anamorphosis of our self, was one of her achievements. She believes that our bodies and personalities are analogous: our faces, hands, and feet, for example, serve as witnesses to our nature. Finally, she attempts to draw a relationship between Man's many morphologies and his diverse and complicated personalities, as if there were a coming and going between our Being and Being.

Sahra Abdallah-Khodja was born in 1969, in Algeria. She lives and works in France.
