Simone chiuse il libro, annoiato. Un principe stanco di cacciare i draghi! “Beh” pensò almeno lui aveva qualcosa da fare! Io invece sono sempre rinchiuso in questa insignificante baracca che ho per casa.
Vorrei anch’io poter andare a caccia di draghi… non mi stancherei di certo!” Simone sospirò. La sua vita era una vera noia, non succedeva mai niente e lui ormai era stanco di questa vita così… così insulsa.
Sì, insulsa era la parola giusta, dato che non succedeva mai niente.
Si specchiò nel bellissimo specchio regalatogli dalla nonna quando morì: quella era, infatti, l’unica cosa di valore che possedeva e il solo ricordo della nonna che abitava in un paese di montagna e perciò non aveva mai conosciuto. Il paese era… Simone non se lo ricordava più, anche se sua mamma glielo aveva detto tante volte e gli aveva narrato delle bellissime storie su esso.
Lo specchio rifletté l’immagine di un ragazzo smilzo sui sedici anni, coi capelli castani e occhi scuri. Un ragazzo del tutto comune. ...
