A character at odds with himself. He says he doesn't love himself. A force of nature who knows how to do anything and is eager to undertake anything. The former drawing teacher who became a full-fledged painter. An original creation where the material becomes an art object often serves as a model. A strong and a tender one at the same time, and essentially a man who speaks to us and vibrates the web of sensations that he shares with us.

Today we discover in him the painter who never ceases to surprise us as his audacity goes so far in this game that he bursts out with color to tell us: “See how this material is made there and what is it for? »

He leads us into the world of scrap metal and machinery where we can hear the rustle of the engine and what gives rise to such a display of movement and noise. We remain amazed to feel how much this apparent technique is made up of the knowledge of the 'man, it touches us closely.

Many of ourselves, no doubt, in this world which makes us a little like products of a society.

Yes, but the sensitivity of André Chavanne is also affirmed in this work because this painter is a being of generosity and heart and he makes us feel it.
