Jean-Paul ROUAUD

Born on December 17, 1945, into a family of architects Jean-Paul ROUAUD studied Applied Arts in Paris, from 1961 to 1965, where he practiced all the techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture, etc.,d industrial aesthetic.
In 1966 he completed an additional year in decorative painting.
During his studies he met Volti, Chagall, and Dali.
He completed this training at the Beaux Arts in Paris, at the Bertholle fresco workshop from 1966 to 1969.
For five years he worked with the sculptors Shamaï Haber and Katsuji Kishida.
In 1970 he registered with the artists' house
He met the painter Serge Tillou with whom he collaborated.
Alongside this training as a visual artist, he became interested in instrumental making and settled in Paris as a decorator, painter and harpsichord maker, an activity that he continued throughout his life until today, with great success. persistent.
His painting, a practice that he has always pursued with passion, reflects a love for reality, for the human figure, for nature.
Indeed, the subject always remains what we see, since the dawn of time, but it remains essential to generate a strong emotion to which the artist will give new forms.

First exhibition at the Vincennes floral park in 1974.
Since 1982 J-P Rouaud has opened his own gallery in Ménilmontant where he exhibits.
He also participates in the Belleville and Ménilmontant workshops.
