Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

Even on the cloudiest day Color like this on a wall can't help but brighten and enrich any room!

28 individual Wood Blocks each painted a seperate and unique different color. No two are alike.

'Color Block No1' is a dramatic and vibrant artistic statement that is a one of a kind work!

A sculptural wall artwork comprised of 28 colorful wooden blocks.

Each wood block is first hand-cut (by me) and sanded. I try when at all possible to use scrap, upcycled or recycled wood. This particular wood was from builder leftover/scrap materials - and is actually very high quality wood.
After the blocks are cut and prepared, I hand paint each block with a beautiful, rich blend of colors going from dark to light variations of Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue. Then I use my own special technique for creating a thick high gloss lacquer coating---making a remarkable and unique finished product.

Spectacular vibrance ---the photos just can't capture the beauty of the variety of color.

The blocks are:
Dark Crimson Red to light red
Orange/Red to Yellow/Orange
Marigold to Light Yellow
Purple to Dark Blue
Royal Blue to Aqua
Aqua to Sky Blue

The blocks can be arranged in any order you prefer.

You could display them from dark to light (as seen in photo) or mix it up for a fun and cheerful color combination (as seen in other photo).

The blocks are EASY to hang ----AND to change!
Each block has a strip of magnet attached to the back. I will send you matching strips of magnet with adhesive backing to attach to the wall. This allows for easy installation AND flexibility. You can easily play around with the colors - you could even regularly change the display for a constantly changing and fantastic work of art ---have fun with it!

My kids (even the grown ones) love this one because they are constantly each changing it around. Fun to see the different combinations and the different sensation for the unlimited creative options!
