Rob Koedijk heeft als achtergrond de opleiding Akademie voor Kunst en Industrie (A.K.I.) te Enschede
In zijn dagelijks leven houdt(hield) hij zich bezig met het vormgeven van het interieur voor zowel de zakelijke alsook voor de particuliere sector.

Rob wordt in zijn schilderijen sterk geïnspireerd door het werk van de Cobragroep en de helaas overleden schilder Gerriet Postma,met name de expressie en het primaire kleurgebruik van deze schilder spreekt hem bijzonder aan.

In zijn atelier waar hij regelmatig is te vinden en werkt,is hij voortdurend bezig om verschillende materialen en technieken te ontdekken,waardoor hij in staat is om steeds weer nieuwe uitdagingen aan te gaan.Zijn atelier is na telefonische afspraak te bezoeken.

Op ontdekkingsreis naar het scala aan mogelijkheden,mede ingegeven door zijn dagelijkse bezigheden, omvatten zijn schilderijen vaak een veelheid aan materiaal en kleur.
Veel kleur en vette penseel of kwaststreken zijn kenmerkend voor zijn werk.

Belangstelling voor zijn werk komt vanuit de zakenwereld en van particulieren,die de aanschaf van een middelgroot werk niet schuwen.
Zijn werk hangt inmiddels op diverse lokaties in Nederland en daar buiten, ook in de galerie is zijn werk steeds vaker te zien.
